Suu Kyi back on trial again after the delay.
The trial of the Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has resumed after a six-week break for a defence appeal over allowing more witnesses. Ms Suu Kyi has been charged with breaking the terms of her house arrest after a US man eluded guards to visit her lakeside home in Rangoon

Mugabe party demands poll recount
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe's party has asked electoral officials to delay the results of the presidential poll and to recount votes, reports say. The state-run Sunday Mail newspaper said the governing Zanu-PF party requested a recount because there had been "errors and miscalculations".

Turkish police clash with Kurds
Clashes have broken out in a number of cities in Turkey between police and demonstrators celebrating the Kurdish spring festival.
Dozens of people were hurt and scores arrested in the protests, media said.
